Most of spirulina's value comes from a natural mix of antioxidant pigments — carotenoids, chlorophyll and the rare blue phycocyanin. Together they give spirulina its colour and much of its nutritional strength.

Phycocyanin

The rare blue pigment unique to spirulina. A powerful antioxidant studied for immune support, allergic inflammation and heart health. Around 3 g of spirulina supplies a meaningful amount.

Beta-carotene
